Premiere	Commissioned by the organisation “a tempo” for a Festival of “Consonances” at Saint Nazaire, on 16 September 2003, where the composition premièred. Première of the baritone version by Ivan Ludlow on 23rd May 2005 at Wigmore Hall, London. The complete cycle was first performed on 3rd October 2006 at the Internationaal Kamermuziekfestival de Schiermonnikoog (Hollande) by F. Le Roux (baritone), Frank Peters (pianist), Hebe Mensinga (violin) Paul de Clerck (viola), Justus Grimm (cello).

Notes	Although for baritone voice, a soprano version exists, as performed at the première at Saint Nazaire in 2003.
