Notes	Judith Gautier's transcription only notates the melody of the two quatrains of the sonnet, and not the tercets. There is no accompaniment. Helen Abbott notes that Judith Gautier's transcription, unlike that of Sivry, Holmès or Georges uses 6/8 time rather than 3/4 time which sits uncomfortably with the 5+5 metre of the poem. Cf.
